Weight Loss: Power of the Acai Berry
There is a lot of controversy going around about the acai berry and its ability to stimulate quick weight loss. Some people believe in the abilities of this particular fruit while others doubt it greatly. Given that the weight loss industry is slowly beginning to use only all natural dieting products, any herbal supplement quickly gains the attention of the public.
The acai berry has been around for thousands of years. The natives of the Brazilian rainforests have utilized its powers for many years now. They have a strong belief that this particular fruit has amazing healing powers. This can be mostly due to the fruit’s high number of vital nutrients. The acai berry is rich in vitamin c, vitamin E, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, potassium, calcium, iron, and phosphorous. Without a doubt this particular fruit is a great addition to any diet.
What about weight loss? Can the acai berry help you lose weight? Unlike the hoodia gordonii, the acai berry has not been studied enough to prove effective weight loss potential. The people who tend to lose weight on the acai berry diet simply do so because they switch to a diet that is rich in fruit and vegetables. Research has not discovered any fat burning attributes associated with this particular fruit. If you are serious about weight loss, all it really takes is a healthy diet and exercise. You should consume plenty of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, and low fat dairy. Also, be sure to include fiber and protein in every meal. These two compounds help you feel full longer an increase your metabolism. So don’t be fooled by various gimmicks, the truth is the acai berry is great for your health, but it will not help you burn off excess weight.
