I Picked Up Several Budget Oriented Suggestions For A Budget Vacation !
Although the economy is in the tank, I figure we need to carve out some money for a little vacation once in awhile. I’ve been doing some research into saving money while still having a nice trip. As I’ve searched the web, I found that the big-name websites can all find some good travel deals.
Basically, in addition to finding the best price for airfare, car rental and hotel, it is important that you to use a travel website that has a reputation for providing a trouble-free vacation. It also occurred to me that I should find a place where I can find good prices on travel costs, and maybe where I could drive my own car to save even more. I should point out that Southern California might be a great choice.
One website I found with some great information on Southern California is the SoCal Vacation Guru site. At the present time, the site places particular emphasis on Orange County and Los Angeles County, with the stated goal of expanding its attention to San Diego County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County. In addition to information and insight related to the beaches, Disneyland, shopping, dining, hotel options and other attractions, there is good coverage on Universal Studios at the SoCal Vacation Guru site.
I mentioned above just a couple of the seven major theme parks in Southern California, the complete list being Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Knott’s, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Legoland. If you were really energetic you could fit all of those parks into a very busy vacation, but it would not be an inexpensive trip. The slow economy is unfortunate, but there are great deals on hotel reservations to be found if your budget allows for it, with many vacation-oriented businesses really wanting your business.
Theme parks are offering some discounts, and the prices might be a bit lower at museums and other activities as well. Despite increases and fluctuations in gasoline prices, a driving trip to So Cal might well be a cheaper vacation option for many Americans than flying to another vacation destination.
