One of my most favorite mountain bikes is the Diamond back mountain bike. Although you may see various mountain bikes for sale posters it does not mean that, you will always find a Diamond back amongst them. These bikes are comfortable and have a good suspension. Even used they are not cheap. If you happen to pick one up in great shape at a good price then you can bet you have made a great purchase.

The one thing about mountain bike enthusiasts is that the majority of the owners tend to keep their mountain bike in top shape. This means they will constantly replace parts the moment they show any signs of wear and tear. This is good news for the interested party looking for a mountain bike. If you cannot find the particular model or type of mountain bike that you are specifically looking for you may want to consider a Marin mountain bike if one happens to be available.

In any event, it will probably not be long before you are ready to sell your used mountain bike and upgrade to a new one. Buying used first though is a good choice because it gives you a feel for the bike and helps you determine what you are really looking for. Then again, you may like your used bike so much you do not want to part with it. You could always keep it as a spare, still go out, and buy that new one you have been wanting.
